Dwarf Varieties For Plants
Did you know that some of your favorite plants could possibly come in a dwarf variety? These varieties have a maximum height of 4 – 5 ft, and they only grow about half a foot a year.
Dwarf varieties for plants allow you to have a much more low-maintenance, and compacted version of your favorite plants that you may have previously thought would be too large for your garden space.
Here are some plants that come in a dwarf variety:
- Sunshine Ligustrum: while full sized Ligustrum varieties can reach heights of up to 15 ft, the sunshine ligustrum only grows to be about 3 ft tall
- Dwarf Hydrangea: full sized hydrangea varieties can grow up to 10 ft tall. The dwarf hydrangea variety only grows to about 3 ft in height.
- Dwarf Butterfly Bush: a full-sized butterfly bush can reach a mature height of up to 12 ft. Dwarf butterfly bush varieties stop growing once it reaches a height of about 2 – 3 ft tall.
