The Positives of Succulents
Succulents in gardens are becoming more and more popular in southern landscape designs and for good reason! These types of plants are incredibly low-maintenance and drought-tolerant plants that thrive even when neglected.
Succulent plants are different from other plants because they store water in their stems and in their leaves. This is what makes it possible for succulents to survive on very little watering maintenance. These low-maintenance plants are happiest when they are watered deeply and very infrequently.
You want to allow the soil to become completely dry all the way down to the roots before watering again.
While they require little watering, succulents don’t love the cold weather.
I suggest placing your succulent in a sunny area of your garden planted in a pot. This way you will be able to bring your potted succulents indoors when the weather reaches temperatures down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
