It is also extremely beneficial to be deadheading all of the flowers in your garden consistently throughout the summer to maintain a full and healthy look. This is also the time of year when all of your fruit and vegetables will be producing an abundance of produce, so make sure you are harvesting as often as possible to ensure a fresh harvest every time.

This time of year it is important to look out for pests like japanese beetles. You can protect your garden from japanese beetles and other common pests, try planting plants in your garden that repel such pests like garlic, onions, chives, and tansy. It can be beneficial to add more mulch to your garden during this time to help protect the roots of your plants and to help discourage weed growth.
